Instead of children coming home late and facing hours of schoolwork in the evening, The Learning Lounge gets that work done earlier — online or in person, wherever suits your family best. Sessions can cover homework, reading, writing, maths or a specific subject, guided by a qualified Foundation Phase teacher who adapts to the child in front of her.

As a qualified Foundation Phase teacher, literacy sits at the centre of how I work with every child. The goal isn't just finishing today's worksheet — it's strengthening the skills underneath, so schoolwork gets easier and children become more confident, independent learners over time.

I'm a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with a strong foundation in early childhood education, literacy development and foundational academic skills. The Learning Lounge grew out of one simple belief: every child can learn, they just sometimes need a different explanation, a bit more time, or a calmer space to work in.
Sessions are currently one-on-one, online or in person, so every child gets full, individual attention. Small groups will open once The Learning Lounge has a dedicated space.
